Question of the Day...

So, I was thinking...in order for us to get to know each other better, as many of us have been disconnected over the years, I would like to pose a Question of the Day to stimulate thought and conversation and to help us all gain a little insight into each other. Anyone can pose a question, and I'll start for today. What is your favorite childhood memory? Feel free to elaborate as much or as little as you would like. Autumn

Oh boy, what is my favorite childhood memory. Wow, that's a long time ago. But I'd have to say it was when we were living in Newport, RI at 10 Brooks Avenue. It was late at night and snowing. Mom was at work. So Dawn, Carl and I decided to sneek out and go sledding (it was actually one of those silver metal coasters) down this one hill close to the house. It was an awesome hill. (Do you remember Dawn and Carl?) We were having so much fun! Then all of a sudden there was this figure at the top of the hill. Oh no! It was mom. Boy did we get in lots of trouble cuz we left Pamela, Nancy and Robbie alone at the house. But it was so worth it!

Oops, I spelled sneek wrong. It's supposed to be "sneak." What's wrong with me, I'm a secretary and should know how to spell! :-)

One of my favorites is from when I was in 3rd grade. I went to school with a note to be dismissed around 10am to go to the dentist. When I got to school, I gave my teacher the note, then immediately forgot what it said. Around 10am, I heard a message from the office to come and be picked up at the office.

So, I go to the office, meet my dad, and ask him why I need to go to the dentist. His reply..."We are not going to the dentist, we are going skiing." How cool was that? Just my dad and me, skiing during the week, at Alpental (in the Cascade Mountains). It was a blast. We skiied all day, then went to my Grandma Lamb's for dinner. I was so tired I fell asleep during dinner.

I love that day, and I love telling the story!!
